Who are we?
I can still vividly remember how thrilled I was when my parents let me pick out something from GI Joe or, say, Masters of the Universe at the store. They'd examine all the figures in detail, and after much deliberation, a choice would be made. I'd walk home with it, as proud as a peacock, and then play with it for hours.
As I got older, I no longer found the figurines cool enough, so I started delving into comic books. Marvel heroes like Spider-Man and Hobgoblin, as well as DC heroes like Batman, were essential in my comic book collection. The exciting stories took me to the most extraordinary places.
Unfortunately, I didn't realise at the time what a beautiful collection I had already collected, and everything went in the trash when I left home.
Years later, I came across Funko Pops in a store. Seeing so much nostalgia brought me right back to my childhood, and with it, back to collecting.
But just as I matured, so did my collection. I became increasingly interested in things like vintage toys, original comic art from the artists of my youth, and older Funko items.
Once you saw something you liked on Instagram or Facebook, it turned out to be not so easy to find it in Europe or to get it home for a nice price (because yes, a real collector wants a Funko with "the right sticker" or an action figure from ToyBiz from the 90s, for example).
This led to the desire, together with my girlfriend, an avid Disney collector, to set up an online store featuring modern and vintage collectibles from the 1980s to the present. We'll focus primarily on items that are harder to find in the European market.
