Hasbro brought Doctor Strange to the Marvel Universe line with this 3.75-inch action figure from Series 3. The figure carries number #012 and was released in 2011 as part of Wave 14 of the Marvel Universe series.
Doctor Stephen Strange began his life as an exceptionally talented but arrogant surgeon. After a car accident severely damaged his hands and ended his surgical career, his search for healing eventually led him to the Ancient One. Under the Ancient One's guidance, Strange learned the mystical arts and grew into one of the most important magical protectors within the Marvel Universe.
This Marvel Universe edition is based on Doctor Strange as known from Marvel Comics. His classic blue costume is combined with the distinctive red Cloak of Levitation and the recognizable Eye of Agamotto.
Hasbro translated the character into the compact 3.75-inch format of Marvel Universe, allowing Doctor Strange to be combined with the extensive selection of heroes and villains from the same line.
The original Series 3 cardback bears number #012, making an unopened copy additionally interesting for collectors who collect the Marvel Universe series carded. A transparent Clear Astral Variant of Doctor Strange #012 also exists, which should be considered a separate edition.
