Character:
This Darth Maul by Beast Kingdom comes from the Egg Attack Action series and is based on Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. The EAA-095 combines the recognizable appearance of the Sith apprentice with the stylized proportions of this collection. The relatively large head emphasizes his red-and-black face, horns, and various facial expressions. This item has been opened and is therefore no longer factory sealed.
In The Phantom Menace, Darth Maul appears as the apprentice of Darth Sidious. His black clothing and double-bladed red lightsaber make him instantly recognizable, both during his search on Tatooine and in the duel with Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Beast Kingdom translates that movie version into a poseable figure with a distinct design, while retaining the character's most important features.
The figure is designated by Beast Kingdom as a 6-inch version and wears fabric clothing and a fabric cape. The standard edition has three interchangeable facial expressions: neutral, angry, and roaring. In addition, the original equipment consists of various hands, electrobinoculars, a double-bladed lightsaber with glow-in-the-dark effect parts, and a display base with support. The movable joints and various parts offer possibilities for both static displays and combat poses that reflect his appearance in the film.
For collectors of Star Wars and Egg Attack Action, this version offers a different interpretation of Darth Maul than a figure with realistic body proportions. The combination of fabric clothing, a recognizable face, and interchangeable parts forms the core of this release.
