This Hugo Strange action figure was released in 2013 by DC Collectibles as an exclusive release for San Diego Comic-Con 2013. The figure is based on Professor Hugo Strange as he appears in the hit video game Batman: Arkham City by Rocksteady Studios.
Professor Hugo Strange is a brilliant psychiatrist who has developed a dangerous obsession with Batman. In Batman: Arkham City, Strange also possesses information that almost no one else has: he knows Batman’s secret identity and knows that Bruce Wayne hides behind the mask of the Dark Knight.
As the warden of Arkham City, Strange works on the mysterious Protocol 10. Throughout the story, Batman discovers more about Strange, his plans for Arkham City, and the powerful organization behind him.
DC Collectibles translated the recognizable Rocksteady design into a detailed action figure officially measuring 6.75 inches tall. Hugo Strange wears his white medical coat, dark gloves, glasses, and the attire in which he appears in Arkham City. The sculpt was created by Sam Greenwell.
The figure comes with a scalpel and a syringe, two accessories that fit perfectly with Strange's background as a psychiatrist and scientist.
This version was originally offered exclusively during San Diego Comic-Con 2013 and therefore was not part of the regular numbered Arkham City waves. For collectors of the original Arkham City series, Hugo Strange fills an important place in the collection, as he is one of the central antagonists from the video game.
