This Clown Thug 2 action figure was released in 2012 by DC Collectibles as part of Batman: Arkham City Series 3. The figure is based on one of the Joker Thugs from the hit video game Batman: Arkham City by Rocksteady Studios.
Although The Joker is physically weakened by the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum, he still has a large group of loyal henchmen in Arkham City. These thugs are recognizable by their striking clown makeup, colorful clothing, and violent demeanor.
Clown Thug 2 represents one of these henchmen. Rocksteady gave the various Joker Thugs individual clothing, colors, and facial paint, making them instantly recognizable within the world of Arkham City despite their roles as background characters.
DC Collectibles translated the game design into a detailed action figure officially 6.15 inches tall. Therefore, for the product title, the figure is classified as a 6” Action Figure. Clown Thug 2 differs from the first version in its color scheme and comes with a baseball bat. Clown Thug 1 is the version with the knife.
Clown Thug 2 was part of Batman: Arkham City Series 3, along with Batman, Azrael, Ra's al Ghul, The Penguin, and Clown Thug 1. Especially as a duo, the two Clown Thugs form an interesting addition to an extensive Arkham City collection.
