This Ra's al Ghul action figure was released in 2012 by DC Collectibles as part of Batman: Arkham City Series 3. The figure is directly based on Ra's al Ghul as he appears in the successful video game Batman: Arkham City by Rocksteady Studios.
Ra's al Ghul is the ancient leader of the League of Assassins and one of Batman's most dangerous adversaries. Thanks to the Lazarus Pits, he has been able to extend his life many times, though repeated use has affected his physical and mental state. His relationship with Batman is complex: Ra's considers Bruce Wayne not only an opponent, but also a potential successor.
In Batman: Arkham City, Ra's plays an important role in the story surrounding Hugo Strange and Protocol 10. Batman must ultimately seek him out to obtain a sample of his blood, which is needed for the cure for the infection that is slowly becoming fatal to him.
DC Collectibles translated the detailed Rocksteady design into a figure officially 6.75 inches tall. Ra's wears his signature dark outfit with elaborate armor and costume details and comes with his sword.
Ra's al Ghul was part of Batman: Arkham City Series 3, along with Batman, The Penguin, Azrael, and two different Clown Thugs. Series 3 was released under the DC Collectibles name, marking the transition from the earlier DC Direct Arkham City releases to DC Collectibles.
