Batman appears in Batman: Arkham Origins as a younger and less experienced version of the Dark Knight. DC Collectibles released this action figure in 2013 as part of Series 1 of the official Batman: Arkham Origins action figure line.
Batman: Arkham Origins takes place before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Bruce Wayne is still relatively early in his career as Batman and has not yet established his partnership with the Gotham City Police Department. When Black Mask puts a huge bounty on his head, Batman becomes the target of several professional assassins on Christmas Eve.
The figure is based on Batman's design from the video game and shows a distinctly more robust and less refined version of the Batsuit. The heavy armor, utility belt, long cape, and characteristic cowl match his appearance in the game closely.
DC Collectibles released Batman alongside Black Mask as part of the first series of Arkham Origins figures. With a height of approximately 7 inches, this version fits well in scale with the other DC Collectibles figures from the Arkham series.
For collectors of the original Batman: Arkham action figures, this younger version of Batman is an important part of the collection, as it represents the costume and appearance from the earliest chapter of the Arkham games.
