The Joker appears in Batman: Arkham Origins as a younger version of the Clown Prince of Crime, during one of his first major confrontations with Batman. DC Collectibles released this action figure in 2013 as part of Series 1 of the official Batman: Arkham Origins action figure line.
Batman: Arkham Origins takes place several years before Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. On Christmas Eve, a massive bounty is placed on Batman's head, bringing various assassins to Gotham City. However, a much greater threat turns out to be behind the events, with The Joker playing a crucial role in Batman's early history.
This version is directly based on the striking Joker design from the video game. His long purple coat, green hair, pale face, and exaggerated smile give him a recognizable look that is clearly different from the later Joker from Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.
DC Collectibles gave the figure an official height of approximately 6.85 inches. Thanks to the scale and design, The Joker fits perfectly with Batman, Bane, Black Mask, and the other figures from the original Arkham Origins series.
For an Arkham-themed collection, this version is especially interesting as it represents The Joker at the beginning of his notorious relationship with Batman.
