Firefly is one of the dangerous assassins who comes to Gotham City during the events of Batman: Arkham Origins. DC Collectibles released this action figure in 2014 as part of Series 2 of the official Batman: Arkham Origins action figure line.
Garfield Lynns, better known as Firefly, is a pyromaniac and professional mercenary who specializes in arson, explosives, and aerial attacks. During Batman: Arkham Origins, he is one of the assassins who takes on the young Batman. His spectacular confrontation with the Dark Knight around the Gotham Pioneers Bridge is one of the major encounters in the game.
The figure is directly based on Firefly's design from the video game. His heavily armored suit, closed helmet, and technical equipment give him a strikingly industrial look. A key part of his design is the elaborate jetpack with wing construction, which translates Firefly's flying appearance from the game to the action figure.
With an official height of approximately 6.75 inches, Firefly matches the scale of Deathstroke, Deadshot, and Anarky from the same Series 2. Firefly, in particular, is especially interesting to collectors nowadays. The original DC Collectibles version is significantly harder to find in new and unopened condition on the secondary market than many other figures in the series, and is therefore considered by collectors as the grail of Batman: Arkham Origins Series 2.
For collectors looking to complete the original Arkham Origins line, Firefly is therefore not only an important character but also one of the more difficult and sought-after figures in the series to add to a collection in nice packaging.
