This Batman action figure was released in 2016 by DC Collectibles as part of the DC Comics Designer Series by Lee Bermejo. The figure is based on Bermejo's striking interpretation of the Dark Knight and specifically on his Batman design from Batman: Noël.
Lee Bermejo is known for his exceptionally detailed and realistic drawing style. Instead of a traditional smooth superhero costume, Bermejo gives Batman a heavier and more functional look. Various parts of the costume appear as real protective clothing and gear, while the recognizable cape, cowl, and Bat-emblem are preserved.
Batman: Noël was entirely written and illustrated by Lee Bermejo and tells a Batman story inspired by Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Bermejo's dark and realistic Gotham City serves as the backdrop for a unique interpretation of Batman and his world.
DC Collectibles translated this design into an action figure officially measuring 6.75 inches tall. In particular, the textures of the costume, the heavy boots, gloves, utility belt, and the characteristic shape of Bermejo's Batman cowl make this version clearly recognizable.
The figure comes with a Batarang and interchangeable hands and was released alongside Green Lantern, Superman, and Lex Luthor in the first Lee Bermejo Designer Series wave.
