This Batman (Rebirth) action figure was released in 2017 by DC Collectibles as number 27 in the DC Comics Icons series. The figure is based on Bruce Wayne as he appears during the DC Rebirth era and brings the updated Batman design to the compact 6” scale of the Icons line.
DC Rebirth marked the beginning of a new period within the DC Universe in 2016. Batman retained several modern elements from the preceding New 52 era, but his costume regained a number of recognizable classic features. In particular, the black bat symbol with its striking yellow outline became a characteristic element of his Rebirth look.
This Batman initially appeared as part of the DC Rebirth Justice League Action Figure 7-Pack. DC Collectibles subsequently released the character individually in 2017 as DC Comics Icons #27.
The figure officially stands approximately 6.25 inches tall, fitting the smaller scale of DC Comics Icons. As a result, this Batman is noticeably smaller than later Batman figures from the DC Essentials series, which approach 7 inches.
With his gray costume, black cape and cowl, yellow utility belt, and signature Rebirth emblem, this version represents a fine rendition of Batman from the early DC Rebirth era.
