This Killer Croc Deluxe action figure was released in 2012 by DC Direct as part of the Batman: Arkham City collection. The impressive figure is directly based on Waylon Jones as he appears in the hit video game Batman: Arkham City by Rocksteady Studios.
Waylon Jones, better known as Killer Croc, suffers from a rare condition that has caused his appearance to take on increasingly reptilian features. His massive build, strength, and aggressive nature make him one of the most physically dangerous adversaries Batman faces.
In Batman: Arkham City, Killer Croc primarily hides in the underground parts of the city. Although his role is smaller than in Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman can encounter him in a hidden confrontation while exploring the sewers.
DC Direct translated Rocksteady's imposing character design into an exceptionally large Deluxe action figure. Killer Croc is officially a full 9.5 inches tall, or approximately 24 centimeters. His massive build, scaly skin, chains, and detailed clothing ensure that he towers over the regular Arkham City figures in both size and presence.
Killer Croc was released as a standalone Deluxe figure and was not part of the regular Series 1 through Series 4. Together with the also separately released Deluxe Mr. Freeze, he is one of the larger releases from the early Batman: Arkham City action figure line.
