This Batman (Infected) action figure was released in 2011 by DC Direct as part of the Batman: Arkham City Series 1. The figure is directly based on Batman as he appears in the hit video game Batman: Arkham City by Rocksteady Studios.
In Arkham City, Batman faces a particularly dangerous situation when it is revealed that his blood has been infected by The Joker. The Clown Prince of Crime is suffering from the effects of his exposure to Titan and uses a blood transfusion to infect Batman with the same illness. This turns the search for a cure into a race against time.
This Infected version distinguishes itself from the regular Batman through the visible effects of the contamination. His paler face and afflicted appearance refer directly to his condition throughout the game's story.
DC Direct translated the detailed character design from Rocksteady Studios into an approximately 7-inch action figure. Batman wears his recognizable gray-and-black Arkham City Batsuit with armored details, a black cape, and a gold-colored utility belt.
Batman (Infected) was released alongside Harley Quinn and Robin in the original Batman: Arkham City Series 1 wave.
Note: This concerns a DMG (damaged) item. The packaging remains unopened, but the Batman (Infected) sticker/insert inside the packaging has come loose and is therefore sitting at an angle in front of the figure. The figure itself is not damaged. Please examine the product photos carefully for the exact condition.
