This Robin action figure from Batman: Arkham City Series 1 was released in 2011 by DC Direct and is based on Tim Drake's appearance in Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham City. The figure is part of the first Arkham City series, alongside Batman and Harley Quinn.
Tim Drake is the third Robin to take up the fight against crime alongside Batman. Thanks to his intelligence, detective skills, and combat training, he has become a key ally of the Dark Knight. For Batman: Arkham City, Robin was given a much tougher and more modern design than his traditional comic appearance.
In Arkham City, Robin helps Batman investigate the events within the walled prison city. His appearance in the main story is relatively brief, but the character plays a larger role in additional content and challenge maps. His Arkham iteration is recognizable by his short hair, hood, and dark red and black costume.
DC Direct has translated this design into a detailed action figure of approximately 6.5 inches, or about 16.5 centimeters. The figure features multiple points of articulation and originally came with his signature staff and a display base. The combination of his modern costume and more rugged appearance makes this version clearly recognizable as the Tim Drake from the Arkham universe.
This is the original Series 1 release from 2011, produced by DC Direct. Together with Batman and Harley Quinn, Robin forms the first series of action figures that DC Direct released for Batman: Arkham City.
