This The Joker (Sickened Variant) action figure was released in 2011 by DC Direct as an exclusive release for New York Comic Con 2011. The figure is based on The Joker as he appears in Rocksteady Studios' Batman: Arkham City and was limited to only 4,000 pieces.
Following the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum, The Joker pays a heavy price for his exposure to Titan. His physical condition deteriorates rapidly, and in Batman: Arkham City, it is clearly visible how seriously ill he has become. His skin is affected, his face shows signs of decay, and even his signature purple clothing has a dirtier and more weathered appearance.
This Sickened Variant was specifically developed to depict this ailing version of The Joker. DC Direct used the existing Arkham Joker design as a base but provided the figure with a modified deco that highlights his deteriorated state from Arkham City.
The figure is approximately 6.5 inches tall, features multiple points of articulation, and comes with a removable display base. For the product title, it is classified within the 7” scale.
The Joker (Sickened Variant) was offered during New York Comic Con 2011 at the Graphitti Designs booth. With a limited run of 4,000 pieces, this is not a regular Arkham City wave release, but a true convention exclusive from the early period of the Arkham action figure line.
