This Batman 2-Pack was released in 2010 by DC Direct as part of the DC Origins Series 1. This special series was developed to showcase the evolution of well-known DC Comics characters over the years. Each set therefore combines a classic version of the character with a more modern interpretation.
For Batman, that history begins with his earliest appearances. The Classic Batman is inspired by the original design from The Dark Knight’s early period, featuring the characteristic grey outfit, black details, and the distinctive style that harkens back to Batman’s first adventures.
In contrast, there is the Modern Batman, which shows how the character's appearance has developed in the decades that followed. By placing both versions side by side, the set forms a compact visual history of one of DC Comics' most famous characters.
The Classic Batman measures approximately 6.5 inches, while the Modern Batman is about 6.75 inches tall. Both figures feature multiple points of articulation and come with display bases and accessories. In addition, the original packaging contains a double-sided collectible trading card that fits the historical concept of DC Origins.
