This Batman action figure was released in 2011 by DC Direct as part of the Justice League: Classic Icons Series 1. The series brought together some of the best-known members of the Justice League in a classic, recognizable comic-book design.
As Batman, Bruce Wayne has been waging his war on crime in Gotham City for years. Although he lacks superpowers unlike many other members of the Justice League, his intelligence, training, technology, and strategic insight make him one of the team's most important members.
For the Classic Icons line, DC Direct consciously chose a timeless Batman design. The gray bodysuit is combined with the black cape, cowl, gloves, and boots, while the yellow utility belt and the classic Batman emblem complete the recognizable comic-book look.
Batman is officially approximately 7 inches tall and features multiple points of articulation. The figure comes with a display base and was originally released in a four-color clamshell blister pack.
Justice League: Classic Icons Series 1 consisted of four central Justice League characters: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern. As such, Batman represents a fine example of the classic DC Comics style before DC radically modernized its character designs with The New 52.
