FREEing - Figma - R-Type - Dobkeratops #SP-113 (2026 Re-Release) - 20 cm Action Figure

This Dobkeratops action figure was re-released in 2026 by FREEing as figma SP-113 and is based on the iconic boss from the classic shoot-'em-up R-Type. This release is the official re-issue of the figma that originally appeared in 2019, giving collectors another opportunity to add one of the most striking creatures in R-Type history to their collection.

Dobkeratops is one of the best-known Bydo lifeforms from R-Type and appears as the boss of the first stage of the original arcade game. With its grotesque biomechanical appearance, the monster quickly became a recognizable symbol of the franchise. The design combines organic forms, science fiction, and body horror in a way that became characteristic of the dark world of R-Type.

FREEing has translated the complex design into an impressive figma approximately 20 centimeters long. Figma joints have been incorporated into the head, neck, and tail, allowing various poses and movements from the game to be replicated. The floating spheres around the body and the second head that emerges from the chest of Dobkeratops have also been carefully reproduced.

The figure comes with a colorless miniature of the R-9, the famous spaceship that the player uses to take on the Bydo. With the large special display stand of approximately 27 centimeters, the classic confrontation between the R-9 and Dobkeratops can be recreated as a display.

The sculpt was provided by DRAGONCRAFT, with the cooperation of Rocket, Kazushi Kobayashi (MODERHYTHM), and Max Factory. This 2026 re-release retains the original figma number SP-113 and is a special collectible for fans of R-Type, classic arcade games, and the figma series.
