Danny Trejo is an American actor, producer, and entrepreneur, born on May 16, 1944, in Los Angeles. He is known for his rugged appearance and often hard-hitting roles in action films. Trejo worked for many years with director Robert Rodriguez and became world famous as Machete in the Spy Kids films and later in the eponymous Machete series. He also appeared in numerous productions such as From Dusk Till Dawn , Con Air , and Breaking Bad . Outside of his film career, Trejo is also a restaurant owner in Los Angeles, where he runs restaurants such as Trejo's Tacos and Trejo's Coffee & Donuts . He is considered a cult hero in pop culture for his distinctive appearance and energetic presence.
