Character:
Cobra Commander takes his place at the head of his organization with this G.I. Joe Classified Series #221 from Hasbro. The set combines a poseable action figure in Dress Uniform with a throne featuring snake motifs. The ceremonial attire, removable crown, and fabric cape give this edition a distinctly formal character. The set belongs to the 6-inch scale class of the Classified Series.
As the leader of Cobra, Cobra Commander is a central antagonist of the G.I. Joe team. His plans revolve around power, control, and the expansion of his organization. This edition emphasizes his position as commander. The throne provides a fitting environment for a display in which he receives his troops or issues orders.
The figure features multiple points of articulation and can be displayed both sitting on the throne or standing independently. In addition to the throne, the set includes a staff, a knife, four interchangeable hands, a globe with a snake wrapped around it, and a firearm. The different hands allow for adjusting gestures and how he holds accessories. The removable crown and fabric cape offer additional possibilities to vary his appearance in your display.
For a collection centered on Cobra, this set serves as a centerpiece around which other Classified Series figures can be placed. The throne allows for a display with bodyguards or other members of the organization, while the figure can also be presented separately. The combination of character, attire, and decor piece gives this release a unique place alongside other Cobra Commander editions. Number 221 identifies the set within the G.I. Joe Classified Series.
