Character:
Dusty heads into the desert with Sandstorm, the coyote who accompanies him on his missions for G.I. Joe. Hasbro brings the duo together as number 217 in the G.I. Joe Classified Series. Dusty is in the 6-inch class and wears the distinctive beret from this version. Sandstorm is a separate, articulated figure with an interchangeable head. This gives the coyote its own role in the display, alongside the desert specialist who guides him through the terrain.
Within the team, Dusty feels at home where the daytime heat gives way to nighttime cold. His equipment is suited for that environment: with the scarf and mask, you can prepare him for a journey through blowing sand. The backpack and knife are ideal for a patrol where he has to carry his own gear. For a different display, you can remove the faceplate and present Dusty with his beret.
Hasbro lists nine accessories for Dusty, including the beret, mask, backpack, knife, scarf, and weapon accessories. Sandstorm comes with a second head. Because both the soldier and the coyote are articulated, you can, for example, place Dusty on one knee next to his companion or have Sandstorm walk ahead while Dusty surveys the terrain.
For collectors who already have an earlier Classified version of Dusty, the difference lies mainly in this combination of equipment and animal. The set comes in a window box with collection number 217. Even those who keep the packaging sealed can distinguish this release from the earlier Dusty without Sandstorm.
