Hasbro brought Cable to the Marvel Universe line with this 3.75-inch action figure from Series 3. The figure is numbered #007 and was released in 2011 as part of Wave 13 of the Marvel Universe series.
Cable, born Nathan Summers, is the son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor. After being infected with a techno-organic virus as a child, Nathan was sent to the future for treatment. He eventually returned to the present as an adult soldier and grew into an important character within Marvel Comics' X-Men, X-Force, and mutant stories.
For this Marvel Universe release, Cable is based on his Messiah War design. His heavily armored costume, cybernetic details, and substantial weaponry align with his role as a mutant soldier from the future.
Hasbro provided Cable with multiple weapons, including a pistol, a rifle, and his Psimitar. There are several production variants of #007. The original Wave 13 version features Baby Hope Summers on Cable's chest and comes with an alternative chest piece, allowing Cable to be displayed without Hope. A "running change" was released later, in which Baby Hope was no longer included.
