Character:
This Hasbro Star Wars The Black Series Emperor Palpatine #11 is the original 2015 Blue Line release. The action figure belongs to the 6-inch line and is based on his appearance in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. This item is offered as a loose figure, without the original packaging. The number #11 refers to its position within the then-current Blue Line series.
In Return of the Jedi, Emperor Palpatine oversees the construction of the second Death Star and attempts to turn Luke Skywalker to the dark side. His confrontation with Luke and Darth Vader is a central moment in the conclusion of the original trilogy. This version matches that film appearance, defined by his dark robes and weathered face.
Hasbro originally released this figure with a fabric hooded robe and a cane. The combination of textiles and a sculpted face gives this version a different character compared to figures with all-plastic clothing. The articulated construction offers possibilities for various poses within a display. The official size is the 6-inch class; this is the product category and not the individually measured height of this specific item. Please check the physical item to see which original accessories are included with the loose figure offered.
For collectors following the evolution of The Black Series, this Palpatine represents the character's first appearance within the 6-inch collection. Thematically, he fits well in a display with Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, and other characters from Return of the Jedi. This loose version is suitable for out-of-box display, maintaining its original Blue Line identity through its specific design and 2015 release.
