Character:
This Hasbro Star Wars: The Black Series Rebel Trooper #69 is based on the soldiers defending the Tantive IV in A New Hope. The figure was released in 2018 within the numbered Red Line series and wears the recognizable uniform of the Rebel Fleet Troopers. The original black and red window box makes this version suitable for collectors who wish to maintain the presentation of this Black Series era.
The opening of Episode IV immediately shows how vulnerable the Rebel Alliance is against the Empire. While the Death Star plans must be secured, the rebel troops attempt to hold back the advancing Stormtroopers. Their light shirts, dark vests, and distinctive helmets clearly distinguish them from the fully armored Imperial soldiers. This figure captures that confrontation and therefore fits well in a display themed around the corridors of the Tantive IV.
The Rebel Trooper features a removable helmet, a removable vest, and a blaster that can be placed in the hands or the holster. In addition, a small data card containing the Death Star plans is included. The articulated shoulders offer extra range to bring the arms forward, for example, for a pose where the weapon is held with both hands. The figure belongs to the 6-inch scale class of The Black Series.
For a collection centered on A New Hope, this trooper is a perfect addition to characters such as Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and the Stormtroopers. The original numbering and packaging are also relevant for collectors of the Red Line series. The item offered comes from a private collection. The box is described as Near Mint with light scratches on the transparent window.
