The Hasbro Star Wars: The Black Series Range Trooper #64 is based on the Imperial soldiers from Solo: A Star Wars Story. This version was released in 2018 as part of the 6-inch line and comes in the original black and red window packaging, known as the Red Line. The heavy armor, wide boots, and fur collar give this trooper a distinct silhouette compared to a regular Stormtrooper.
Range Troopers are deployed for Imperial operations in remote and inhospitable regions. In Solo, they guard the transport that Han Solo and Tobias Beckett target for their heist on the snowy planet of Vandor. Their equipment is tailored to these conditions, featuring protective gear and distinctive grip boots. As a result, this figure is a great fit for a collection centered on the film as well as a broader display of specialized Imperial Troopers.
Hasbro has crafted the design with off-white armor plating, added weathering, and a faux-fur collar. The blaster rifle is included as the weapon accessory. The articulated joints offer various possibilities for a standing or combat pose, and the rifle can be held with both hands. The helmet is a fixed part of the design and does not feature a separate face sculpt. The large boots and layered leg protection are among the most recognizable features of this figure.
For collectors of original Black Series boxes, the number #64 and the Red Line packaging are relevant features. This release fits alongside the Han Solo and Lando Calrissian figures from the same film period. The item offered is from a private collection. The packaging is described as Near Mint, with light scratches on the transparent window.
