Hasbro - Star Wars - The Legacy Collection (Red) - Queen Amidala (Return to Naboo) (BD08) - 3.75” Action Figure

This Hasbro Queen Amidala (BD08) action figure from Star Wars: The Legacy Collection was released in September 2009 as part of the first wave of the red packaging phase. The design features her purple "Return to Naboo" costume from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. This is also the outfit she wears during Qui-Gon Jinn's funeral. The original release includes a Naboo blaster and the left arm with flame effect of L8-L9 for the Build-A-Droid program.

As Queen of Naboo, Amidala attempts to liberate her planet from the occupation by the Trade Federation. When political negotiations on Coruscant fail to yield sufficient results, she returns to take action herself. She seeks cooperation with the Gungans and helps develop a plan to attack the occupation forces on several fronts. Her purple outfit thus represents a specific phase of her story, surrounding her return to Naboo and the events at the end of the film.

The figure belongs to Hasbro’s 3.75-inch size class and features a molded plastic gown with the signature headdress of this costume. The upper body offers articulated joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and waist. The lower part has a fixed leg position without separate knee or ankle joints. The Naboo blaster serves as the loose accessory. For this sculpt, Hasbro used the lower legs of the earlier Breha Organa figure under the gown, adapted for this version.
