This Tusken Raider from Hasbro was released in 2017 as number 41 in Star Wars: The Black Series. The 6” action figure is based on the desert dwellers from Star Wars: A New Hope and comes in the black-and-red Red Line packaging. The numbered window box aligns with other releases from this era of the Black Series.
Tusken Raiders, also known as Sand People, are among the most recognizable inhabitants of Tatooine. In A New Hope, Luke Skywalker encounters them during his search for R2-D2 before Obi-Wan Kenobi intervenes. Their covered faces, desert attire, and traditional weapons give them a unique silhouette within the Star Wars universe. As a result, this figure fits well into a collection focused on both the original trilogy and the inhabitants of Tatooine.
Hasbro combines the signature headgear and gear with fabric clothing and articulated joints. The included accessories consist of a long rifle and a gaderffii staff with three interchangeable attachments. This allows you to customize the gear and choose different poses. For a complete presentation, all three attachments are part of the figure, even when only one is used on the staff.
For Red Line collectors, the distinction lies primarily in the original numbering and packaging. This #41 is a fitting addition to a row of black-and-red Black Series boxes, while the figure itself is useful for a Tatooine display with Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or other desert dwellers. The window packaging makes it possible to view the figure and accessories without opening the box. Those collecting multiple Tusken Raiders can also add variety to their display using the different staff parts.
