Hasbro Star Wars The Clone Wars Anakin Skywalker #01 is an action figure from the first wave of the 2008 blue packaging series. This version features the "1st Day of Issue" sticker on the card, a hallmark of the introductory release. The figure depicts Anakin in the stylized design of The Clone Wars, featuring his Jedi attire and blue lightsaber.
In the animated film and television series, Anakin leads Clone Troopers during the war against the Separatists. Together with Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano, he becomes involved in military missions and rescue operations. This figure aligns with his appearance at the beginning of the animated series, including the mission to rescue Jabba the Hutt's kidnapped son.
The design features fourteen points of articulation, with movable joints in the neck, shoulders, elbows, forearms, waist, and hips. In addition to the blue lightsaber, the set includes a Force-blast launcher, a matching projectile, a gauntlet, and a cable with handles. This allows Anakin to be displayed in a simple Jedi pose or with the additional action accessories. The angular portrait shape and clothing details follow the animation style and distinguish this version from the film figures.
For collectors, the specific distinction of this item lies in the original blue card and the "1st Day of Issue" sticker. This packaging variant is especially relevant when the figure is collected on-card. Moreover, number #01 marks the beginning of the original Clone Wars series. Anakin fits in with Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Clone Troopers, and other characters from the same period. The condition of the sticker, card, and blister is therefore important for the presentation of this introductory release.
