Hasbro - Star Wars - The Vintage Collection - A New Hope - Sandtrooper (Squad Leader) #VC409 - 3.75” Action Figure

Hasbro is expanding Star Wars: The Vintage Collection with the Sandtrooper Squad Leader from Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. This new release appeared in 2026 as #VC409 and brings one of the most recognizable Imperial Troopers from Tatooine to the modern 3.75-inch Vintage Collection.

Sandtroopers are specialized Stormtroopers equipped for operations in harsh desert environments. In A New Hope, they are deployed on Tatooine during the search for the stolen Death Star plans. During their investigation into R2-D2 and C-3PO's escape pod, the troopers eventually head to Mos Eisley, where they encounter characters including Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

This Squad Leader is distinguished by his orange shoulder pauldron and heavily weathered white Imperial armor. Hasbro has given the figure a weathered deco to replicate the dusty, sand-worn equipment from the film.

The Sandtrooper is produced in the classic 3.75-inch Vintage Collection scale and features modern articulation. The removable backpack and various blaster accessories allow for diverse display options.

The figure comes on a Kenner-inspired Vintage Collection cardback and bears the unique collector number VC409. This makes this new 2026 Sandtrooper suitable for both an Original Trilogy display and for collectors looking to expand their Imperial Trooper ranks.
