Image Comics - D’orc #1 (Third Printing, Brett Bean Cover) - CGC 9.8 Universal Grade - Graded Comic Book

D’orc #1 from Image Comics marks the beginning of the fantasy series by Brett Bean. This copy is the Third Printing from March 2026, featuring a cover by Bean and a CGC grade of 9.8 within the Universal Grade category. The combination of the first issue, the specific printing, and the documented grade clarifies which edition you are adding to your comic collection. Brett Bean provides the story, art, and cover for this issue.

The story centers on D’orc, an orphan who is half-dwarf and half-orc. He becomes caught up in the struggle between Light and Dark in the world of Sunderaine. An ominous prophecy attributes a role to him in the end of the world, while his magical, talking shield possesses an outspokenly violent attitude. The series thus combines a classic fantasy world with absurdist humor and a protagonist who finds himself caught between different factions.

The comic is offered in a CGC case, in which the cover and the grading label remain visible. The 9.8 score stands for Near Mint/Mint on the CGC scale: a virtually perfect copy where minimal production or handling marks may be possible. The grade pertains to the comic itself. The Third Printing designation distinguishes this release from the first print and other reprints of the same issue.

For collectors of Image Comics, the work of Brett Bean, or modern fantasy comics, this edition offers a graded copy of the opening issue. The mention of the printing, cover artist, and grade helps to carefully place it alongside other editions. Within a collection containing various printings, it remains immediately recognizable which version of D’orc #1 is included.
