Character:
This Blanka Glow in the Dark action figure from Jada Toys is based on Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. The version combines Blanka’s recognizable appearance with a glowing effect that ties in with his electrical attacks. This is a standalone variant within the Street Fighter collection, featuring interchangeable parts and window-box packaging in arcade style.
Blanka is one of the most striking fighters from Capcom’s games. His green skin, wild hair, and powerful build give him a unique silhouette among the other characters. Attacks like Electric Thunder and Rolling Attack are a major part of his fighting style. This figure emphasizes his electrical powers, both through the glow-in-the-dark material and the included effects.
The figure is produced in 1/12 scale. Jada Toys specifies a height of approximately 19 cm for the European version. The articulated joints allow for various combat poses. With the alternative head and interchangeable hands, you can adjust his expression and posture. The Electric Thunder effect parts add a recognizable element from the game to the presentation. Even without those effects, Blanka remains clearly recognizable due to his build and coloring.
For collectors, this version offers a different presentation than the standard Blanka. The light effect is thematically appropriate for the character and gives the variant a unique place within a Street Fighter display. The arcade-style design of the packaging aligns with the franchise's background. As a result, the figure is suitable both for a display with other Jada Street Fighter characters and for a collection where the packaging is kept intact.
