Character:
This Medieval Spawn action figure by McFarlane Toys is part of the McFarlane Vault Collection and is based on Todd McFarlane's Spawn comics. The character combines the supernatural world of Spawn with that of a medieval warrior. The figure is approximately 20 cm tall and comes with a sword, hammer, and display base. This makes this edition a great addition to a collection featuring the various incarnations of Hellspawn.
Behind Medieval Spawn lies the story of Sir John of York. After being killed on the orders of his own king, he returned as one of the first Hell Knights. His story is defined by violence, resurrection, and the search for reconciliation with his past. This background gives him a unique place within the Spawn universe compared to Al Simmons, connecting the character to the ancient history of this world.
The figure features McFarlane's Ultra Articulation system with up to 22 moving parts, allowing you to adjust the pose for a calm display or an action-packed battle scene. The sword and hammer offer various display possibilities, while the included base helps with stability. Medieval Spawn belongs to McFarlane’s 7-inch figure line, though this specific version is listed with a height of approximately 20.3 cm. The packaging is a window box with Spawn-themed design.
For collectors, the combination of the medieval character, the two weapons, and the posing options is particularly relevant. You can display the figure individually or combine it with other characters from the Spawn comics. The window box packaging also allows for in-box display. The Vault Collection designation identifies this reissue within the range of Medieval Spawn figures.
