Medicom Toy - MAFEX - Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Batman (Armored, 2022) #146 - 6” Action Figure

This Armored Batman action figure was released by Medicom Toy in 2022 as MAFEX No.146 and is based on Batman's heavily armored appearance from Frank Miller's influential comic, The Dark Knight Returns. This imposing figure combines the massive design from the comic with the extensive articulation for which the MAFEX series is known.

In The Dark Knight Returns, an older Bruce Wayne has resumed his role as Batman after years of absence. His return eventually leads him to face Superman once again. Because Batman is physically no match for the Man of Steel, he uses his technical expertise and preparation to build a special armored suit for their confrontation.

Medicom Toy has executed this characteristic design as an approximately 16-centimeter-tall action figure. The heavy armor, broad build, and various mechanical details follow the look of Batman from the comic, giving the figure a distinctly different appearance than the regular MAFEX Batman versions.

Armored Batman comes with both a masked head and an interchangeable Bruce Wayne head, allowing for various scenes from The Dark Knight Returns to be displayed. The fabric cape provides a more natural look and creates a strong contrast with the heavy armor.
