Medicom Toy - MAFEX - Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Batman (Blue Ver.) & Robin (2-Pack, 2021) #139 (DMG) - 6” Action Figure

This Batman & Robin 2-Pack was released by Medicom Toy as MAFEX No.139 and is based on the iconic duo from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. The set combines Batman in his recognizable blue and gray costume with Carrie Kelley as Robin and brings both characters together in the same MAFEX scale.

In The Dark Knight Returns, an aging Bruce Wayne returns as Batman after years of absence. During his renewed battle against crime, he meets young Carrie Kelley. Inspired by Batman, Carrie makes her own Robin costume and decides to help the Dark Knight. Eventually, Bruce accepts her as his new Robin, and Carrie grows to become an important part of his fight for Gotham City.

Batman is executed in the Blue Version of his costume and measures approximately 16 centimeters. For this release, Medicom has used several specific blue parts to accurately depict his appearance from the comic. In addition, an interchangeable Bruce Wayne head is included, so that Batman can be displayed both masked and unmasked.

Carrie Kelley as Robin is approximately 11 centimeters tall and is fully executed as a separate action figure. This allows Batman and Robin to be placed together in various recognizable action poses from The Dark Knight Returns.

Both figures feature the extensive articulation characteristic of the MAFEX series. The fabric capes are equipped with internal wire, allowing them to be shaped in various ways while posing. A movable display stand and various interchangeable parts complete the set.
