Medicom Toy - MAFEX - X-Men - Gambit #131 (Comic Ver.) - 16 cm Action Figure

The Medicom Toy MAFEX Gambit #131 (Comic Ver.) is an articulated collectible figure based on the character's appearance in the X-Men comics. The figure is approximately 16 cm tall and originally appeared in September 2021. Gambit wears his signature costume with a long brown fabric coat, which can be removed to display the figure in different ways.

Remy LeBeau, better known as Gambit, combines his skills as a thief with the ability to charge objects with kinetic energy. His playing cards and staff are an important part of his fighting style. This Comic Ver. version is based on his classic comic appearance and is not based on a specific live-action film or actor.

The articulation allows for a variety of combat and throwing poses. The fabric coat provides room for movement around the body and legs. Two interchangeable head portraits give Gambit different facial expressions, while the included hands can be used to hold accessories and depict attacks. The set includes his staff, effects for throwing playing cards, and additional energy effects. An adjustable stand supports the display of poses that are less stable without additional support.

Within a collection of X-Men figures, No.131 offers a combination of a comic-based design, fabric clothing, and accessories that are directly associated with Gambit. The different portraits and effects allow for both a relaxed display and an action scene. When comparing copies, pay attention to the distinction between this Comic Ver., the later Comic Variant Ver. numbered 287, and unofficial reproductions. Original releases and re-releases of No.131 must also be correctly identified when the production run is demonstrably known.
