Character:
This Mondo Skeletor action figure brings He-Man's adversary to 1/6 scale. The updated Regular Edition is approximately 30 cm tall and combines Skeletor's recognizable blue skin and purple equipment with a detailed rendering of his skull face. For the design, Mondo drew from the original Masters of the Universe minicomics and the Mattel figures from the 1980s.
Within Masters of the Universe, Skeletor seeks to seize power over Eternia and the secrets of Castle Grayskull. His confrontations with He-Man form the core of the battle between the Heroic Warriors and the Evil Warriors. The character combines sorcery with a distinctly warrior-like appearance, giving both his staff and his other weaponry a recognizable place in a collection.
This edition features an updated body with improved articulation around the waist. Two interchangeable heads, designated as Skeletor Skull Portrait and Classic Portrait, offer different facial designs. The equipment consists of a PVC hood, the standard chest armor, and a faux fur loincloth. The Havoc Staff, Power Sword, and Battle Axe enable a variety of poses. In addition, six interchangeable hands and a figure stand are included. The Regular Edition is supplied without a fabric cape.
For collectors, the appeal lies in the combination of classic MOTU elements and Mondo's own design at a larger scale. The various weapons and heads allow Skeletor to be presented as either a sorcerer or He-Man's armed adversary. He fits both in a standalone Skeletor display and alongside other Masters of the Universe figures from Mondo's 1/6 line. This Regular Edition contains the standard equipment; the additional Battle Armor, Dragon Blaster, and Terror Claws parts from the Deluxe edition are not included.
