This Mondo MacReady action figure brings R.J. MacReady from The Thing (1982) to 1/6 scale. The Regular Edition is approximately 30 cm tall and combines an articulated figure with textile and faux leather clothing. Two interchangeable heads and various accessories allow you to customize his presentation to suit the atmosphere of the film.

In John Carpenter's The Thing, Kurt Russell plays the helicopter pilot of an American research base in Antarctica. When an alien organism is found to be able to imitate living creatures, the remote base is transformed into an environment where no one trusts anyone else. MacReady tries to determine who is still human, while the cold and growing distrust put the group under further pressure.

Mondo has detailed his outfit with a flight suit, undershirt, jacket, and belt. The jacket and belt are made of faux leather. In addition to the standard head, a Frozen Head is included, allowing you to depict his appearance marked by the Antarctic conditions. The weaponry consists of a shotgun, a pistol with holster, and a flamethrower with a back unit. The removable flame effect allows for both a calm display and an action scene. Interchangeable hands and a figure stand support the various presentation options.

For collectors of film collectibles, this edition offers a combination of recognizable costume details and accessories closely associated with MacReady. The scale allows room for the layers of clothing and the larger pieces of equipment, so that the figure can also be displayed separately in a horror collection. This Regular Edition contains MacReady and his personal equipment.
