Character:
With this Samurai Usagi Yojimbo Black & White action figure, NECA translates the look of Stan Sakai’s comics into a posable collector's figure. The black-and-white finish gives the character a distinct comic book style and highlights the contours of his samurai armor. This version was released to mark the 40th anniversary of Usagi Yojimbo and is part of NECA’s 7-inch scale collection.
Usagi Yojimbo revolves around Miyamoto Usagi, the rabbit ronin at the heart of comic creator Stan Sakai’s work. The character is also known to fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This release focuses on his own comic world: the monochrome finish refers to the black-and-white drawings, while his samurai armor offers a different presentation than a version in his standard clothing.
The figure features multiple points of articulation, an interchangeable head, and extra hands to create various poses. The removable helmet and fabric cloak offer additional display options. NECA also includes a sword, axe, butterfly sword, crescent blade, and sashimono. A tokage is also among the accessories. This allows you to display Usagi with different components and customize the presentation to the available space in your collection.
This Black & White version is suitable for collectors of Usagi Yojimbo, Japanese samurai characters, and NECA’s comic book figures. Alongside other black-and-white Usagi releases, it creates a cohesive display centered on the monochrome finish. The figure comes in collector-friendly packaging and is intended for ages 14 and up. The 7-inch designation describes the scale of the product line; the actual height depends on the character's form and posture.
