Star Wars was founded in 1977 by George Lucas and his company Lucasfilm Ltd. conceived and produced. The story of Luke Skywalker and the battle with the evil Galactic Empire and Darth Vader was a great success. Lucasfilm Ltd. was sold to the Walt Disney Company on October 30, 2012 for $4.05 billion . Many movies and series based on the original story have been released over the years. A good example of this is the big hit "The Mandalorian"
